EFC AFRICA spreads its wings to Carnival City

Johannesburg (South Africa) – After supercharging Africa’s mixed martial arts industry and becoming the continent’s leading MMA promoter, EFC AFRICA now takes its first steps toward bringing Africa’s most spectacular live MMA show to venues across SA and beyond.

EFC AFRICA 08 will take place at Carnival City on 14 April and promises to be the biggest, most exciting event to date. Numerous title clashes and EFC AFRICA’s top tier talent come together for a revolutionary live experience at Johannesburg’s premier entertainment destination, home to two hotels, a feast of dining options, fun-filled family entertainment and world class gaming facilities.

According to EFC AFRICA president Cairo Howarth, Carnival City’s Big Top Arena is the ideal venue for EFC AFRICA’s most promising fight card, as it presents fans with a true Vegas superbowl experience.

“EFC AFRICA was designed to be showcased in a superbowl arena. We’re looking forward to an incredible event with unparalleled sound, lighting, atmosphere and action. As capacity is limited to 5000, expect tickets to sell out faster than ever before.”

EFC AFRICA will return to the Coca-Cola Dome for EFC AFRICA 09. Both venues have granted EFC AFRICA exclusivity, so expect Africa’s favourite MMA extravaganza to alternate between both venues. Plans are underway to bring EFC AFRICA to Cape Town, and even Lagos, Nigeria, in future.

EFC AFRICA 08 takes place at Carnival City on 14 April. Tickets are on sale now at Computicket, starting at R225. More information available at efcafrica.com
