‘Tinkerbell’ Meets ‘The GOAT’ On 23 November

Johannesburg (South Africa) – Explosive middleweights JP ‘Tinkerbell’ Kruger (2-0) and Wade ‘The GOAT’ Henderson (10-12) will battle it out at EFC AFRICA 17 on 23 November at Carnival City. Both athletes are on winning streaks and this bout propels the winner toward title contention.

‘Tinkerbell’ is on a two fight winning streak and is undefeated in his proffesional MMA career. A world champion kickboxer, Kruger’s favourite technique and strengths lie in his lethal kicks. “I’m feeling very blessed to be part of this fight card. I am definitely calm and ready. Wade is a very experienced and good all-round fighter. The fans will be well entertained with the aggressive bout on the way,” says Kruger.

On the back of a decision victory against Tumelo Maphutha at EFC AFRICA 16, and now riding a three fight winning streak, Henderson is taking a weeks’ break before he gets back to training to take on Kruger. “I will definitely engage a lot more in this fight and fireworks can be expected. I have just come out of a great fight camp and now have three weeks to prepare, and I will walk away with the win,” says ‘The GOAT.”

EFC AFRICA 17, presented by MusclePharm, takes place at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on 23 November. Tickets on sale at Computicket www.computicket.com and tickets for the live broadcast to Nu Metro Cinemas available at www.numetro.com. The three main card bouts will be broadcast live across Africa on e.tv, starting at 22h30 CAT.
