“I Just Laughed”

Diesel’s camp responds to Lubbe

Diesel defends a leg kick from Victor Anyaogu at EFC AFRICA 08

Johannesburg (South Africa) – Last week Juan ‘Legacy’ Lubbe called Neil ‘The Original’ Diesel out on his single performance in the EFC AFRICA Hexagon, suggesting that Diesel was ‘overrated’ and casting doubt on whether Diesel will actually fight him at EFC AFRICA 20. Today Diesel’s camp responds.

“On my advice Neil is not available for media or social media,” said Diesel’s manager Grant Oliff in a statement today. “He is in a full training camp preparing for EFC AFRICA 20.”

“We decided not to get involved in the hype,” he continued, “so Juan’s words mean very little, in fact Neil hasn’t even read the interview. Personally I just laughed, not sure if he knows exactly what’s coming for him. There are a lot of fans that can’t wait to see the ‘Original’ back and come 27 June they will.”

“I’m isolating myself from the handbags,” said Diesel in a telephone interview, stressing that this would be all. “I just don’t care what he says. I’ll talk on the night.”

EFC AFRICA 20, presented by MusclePharm, takes place at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on 27 June 2013. Tickets on sale now at www.computicket.com. Tickets for the live broadcast to Nu Metro Cinemas available soon at www.numetro.com.
