Johannesburg (South Africa) – Frasier Opie, training out of Milton Keynes, England, is confirmed to clash with South African Pete Motaung at EFC 34 early next month.
Pete Motaung has been competing heavily in kickboxing and grappling tournaments around the world since the last time he was seen in the Hexagon at EFC 17.
“I am so happy to have this guy back”, said EFC Matchmaker Graeme Cartmell about Motaung. “We have seen what happens when already talented fighters go back to the drawing board and take some time off to re-hone their skills, they always come back a new athlete, hungrier and more complete.” Cartmell added, “I have been keeping up-to-date with Motaung’s career while he’s been off, and I know that come fight night, he is going to bring something special to Opie.”
After coming off a loss to Tumelo Maphutha at EFC 27, which caused him to temporarily lose vision in one of his eyes, the former EFC light heavyweight title contender and former TUF contestant Frasier Opie, will be looking for a solid performance in the Hexagon. “There is no doubt that ‘The Omen’ will be more determined than ever when he returns to African shores”, said Cartmell.
