The ‘unbreakable’ Leon Mynhardt to fight the ‘unfinishable’ Sibusiso Mdoko

Johannesburg (South Africa) – Striking specialist Sibusiso ‘The Monster’ Mdoko replaces injured Don Madge to take on Leon Mynhardt for the EFC lightweight tile on 2 October at Carnival City.

Madge injured his wrist while preparing for the bout, and has been forced to withdraw from the title fight.

Mdoko, the showman from Cape Town, is a crowd favourite with an impressive finishing record. ‘The Monster’ has put away all three of his last opponents and has never been finished.

“I have been waiting for this opportunity my whole life!” said Mdoko. “In just four weeks time, I will be the new champion. I am sorry for Madge, I hope he recovers quickly, and I look forward to fighting him one day when he challenges me for my title.”

Mynhardt and Mdoko are both renowned for their incredible toughness and striking prowess. “I have been watching Mdoko,” said Mynhardt. “He beat van Staden, he beat Ilunga, and I can’t wait to fight him!”
