Johannesburg (South Africa) – Sindile Manengela competed against Mthobisi Buthelezi at EFC 34 on Thursday night. Manengela lost via TKO (Referee Stoppage) in the third round. Manengela was attended to by a medical team and was immediately taken on a stretcher to the backstage medical room for a post-fight medical assessment. Shortly afterwards, Manengela was sent to Glynnwood Private Hospital for further observation for a lung related concern. As a precaution Manengela remained there Thursday and Friday night. On Saturday morning he was released from hospital. EFC will continue to monitor his recovery and hopes to see him back in the Hexagon soon!

Mthobisi Buthelezi: 30 days medical suspension with no contact due to shots to the head.
Sindile Manengela: Indefinite medical suspension until cleared by a doctor.

Nelson Feiteira: 90 days medical suspension with no contact due to 2 consecutive knockouts.
Medical clearance from a doctor required prior to competing again.
Francois Groenewald: 30 days cautionary medical suspension.
Sibusiso Mdoko: 30 days cautionary medical suspension.
