Johannesburg, South Africa– Next month, featherweight Cole Henning makes his debut in the EFC Hexagon, and waiting to welcome him is the highly experienced Ashley Calvert. Incredibly ambitious, Henning is taking no prisoners and made it clear on signing that he wants to be the man to retire Calvert.
“Not only am I going to beat him, but I am going to end Ashley Calvert’s career,” stated Henning upon signing for the fight. Fighting out of BIA in Pretoria, where he trains along-side Tumelo Maphutha, Conrad Seabi amongst other well-known names in EFC, he is as tough as they come. Henning is a full time mixed martial artists that lives in the gym and when not training he is teaching classes and passing on his skills.
His opponent is highly experienced and has been competing in the Hexagon since EFC 06. Calvert is a renowned athlete that has never tasted victory in the Hexagon. He soldiers on, giving fans some of the most memorable wars, most recently his ‘Fight of the Night’ against Sizwe Mnikathi in Durban. Never giving up, he continues to strive for victory by constantly improving and evolving.
Is this Calvert’s time to shine or will Henning’s statement ring true? Witness it live at EFC 41!
