Michael vs. de Lange cancelled, prelim card gets a shuffle

Cape Town, South Africa – Luke Michael and Shaun de Lange were originally scheduled to square-off in the Hexagon at next month’s EFC 42 in Cape Town. Unfortunately de Lange has injured his knee and will not be able to recover in time to compete.

Instead of taking a new matchup, Michael has opted to remain in USA at Jackson’s gym and return to the Hexagon in a mega matchup at EFC 45 later in the year in Cape Town. Michael promises he will be a vastly improved athlete and far more competitive in his new, heavier, welterweight division.

Taking their spot as the headlining prelim bout, DRC’s Bruno ‘The Major’ Mukulu goes head-to-head with Chris Bright’s protégé Cameron Pritchard from Port Elizabeth. Mukulu is looking to continue his winning ways and build a case for himself as a contender, while Pritchard is in the hunt to get his third straight win.

This prelim bout will be the final build up to the massive main card scheduled for 8 August that will see athletes from Belgium, USA, Scotland, Ireland and DRC descend upon Cape Town.
