Cape Town, South Africa – EFC returns to the Mother City for the first time in 2016 for an absolutely massive card bursting with Cape Town MMA stars. Headlined by former champion Brendon Groenewald taking on one of the most experienced athletes in the organization, Danie ‘The Pitbull’ van Heerden for the vacant EFC heavyweight championship and Cape Town’s favourite son Irshaad ‘White Tiger’ Sayed gets his chance at gold in front of his friends and family when he faces former contender Cedric ‘The Dominator’ Doyle for the interim bantamweight title.

Former lightweight champion Don ‘Magic Man’ Madge takes on Durban’s dangerous Tyson Chelin in a bout between two of EFC’s most technical strikers. Plus, the controversial Mark Hulme flies down to the Cape of Good Hope to face DRC’s undefeated Kaleka ‘Block’ Kabanda as both men to look to work towards the top of the welterweight division. And, set to open the massive event in style sees fan favourite Sibusiso ‘The Monster’ Mdoko face the equally wrestling champion Hanru Botha in what is expected to be a fight of explosive possibilities.

All this and so much more with an exciting prelim card filled with big names and young up-and-coming prospects in search of their big break.
