EFC flyweight champion Nkazimulo Zulu selected as 1 of 16 champions for season 24 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ – winner faces UFC champion

Las Vegas, USA – There has been mystery surrounding the future of the EFC flyweight division, with champion Nkazimulo ‘Zuluboy’ Zulu out of action since first claiming the belt last year and a number one contender fight taking place last week. Now it can be revealed that Zulu has been selected to fight in UFC’s latest season of TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) as one of the sixteen champions to compete in the upcoming season.

Unlike most previous TUF shows, the twenty-fourth iteration of the show will feature exclusively, renowned champions of promotions from around the world. The winner will not only receive a UFC contract, but an immediate title shot at the UFC champion Demetrious Johnson on 3 December in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Zulu has made phenomenal impacts on fans with his performances in the EFC Hexagon, from becoming the first ever bantamweight and flyweight champion, all the way to his devastating head kick that was seen around the world. Now fans will be able to get closer to the two-division champion in the upcoming reality show as he takes on some of the world’s best.

While taking part in the Ultimate Fighter TV show, Zulu will not be relinquishing his EFC flyweight title, but plans for EFC to hold an interim flyweight championship bout are in progress.

“We are super excited for Nkazimulu and this massive opportunity for him,” stated EFC president Cairo Howarth. He continued, “We know he will do the whole EFC proud and shine a bright light on our organization, all the best Zulu!”
