MORE ATHLETES COVERED BY CONSTANTIA INSURANCE

Boney Bukaka covered for injury sustained at EFC 53. Plus, other EFC athletes taken care of by leaders in medical insurance

Johannesburg, South Africa – Last year, EFC and Constantia Insurance made news headlines with the announcements of their historic partnership that would see EFC athletes covered for their fights inside the Hexagon.

Amongst others in the past, EFC athlete Boney Bukaka has recently received coverage from Constantia Insurance for his needed facial surgery. He sustained an injury in his recent EFC 53 bout against Pierre Botha. Bukaka was knocked out with a flurry of strikes from the mount that had the referee intervene to end the fight. Bukaka’s Maxio-facial damage required surgery that was covered in full by Constantia Insurance.

Footage of the fight is available to watch on the Kwesé Now app, downloadable from www.kwesenow.com/efc/.

Several other athletes have also benefited from this historic partnership between EFC and Constantia Insurance by receiving first class medical treatment. Athletes such as Pietie Coxen, Patrick Luindula, Anicet Kanyeba, Marino Cutendana, Jeff Madiba, Brendon Groenewald and Leon Mynhardt.

“Our primary objective is athlete safety and thanks to Constantia Insurance, we are able to provide world-class treatment,” stated EFC President Cairo Howarth. “We wish Boney Bukaka a speedy recovery from his surgery and thank Constantia Insurance for their continued support of EFC and its athletes.”

All eyes now turn to the next EFC event at Sun City headlined by heavyweight title fight, Andrew van Zyl vs Elvis Moyo, the inaugural women’s title fight between Shana Power and Amanda Lino, and the interim flyweight title fight between JP Buys and Baldwin Mdlalose.

EFC 54: Van Zyl vs Moyo, Power vs Lino, Buys vs Mdlalose presented by SUPABETS, takes place on Saturday 15 October 2016 at Sun City, North West.
