DJEMBO VS KENA CALLED OFF DUE TO INJURY

Kena injured, Djembo lashes out

Johannesburg, South Africa – With only one day to go to the final event of the year, EFC debutant Rodrique ‘Trigger’ Kena has suffered a rib injury in training and withdrawn from his lightweight bout against Pope ‘Shogun’ Djembo.

“He is lying,” stated Djembo upon hearing the news of the fight cancellation. Djembo continued, “He is just scared of me.”

Djembo will still receive his fight purse.

“We hope Rodrique Kena heals up quick,” stated EFC matchmaker Graeme Cartmell. He added, “I’d also like to apologise to Pope for not being able to provide a suitable opponent on short notice

All eyes now turn to the weigh-in at 14:00 at Carnival City, where all the EFC 56 athletes will step on the scale and face-off with their opponents for the final time before they collide in the Hexagon tomorrow night.
