Durban, South Africa – The unfortunate news that Angola’s Josemar ‘Black Ninja’ Octavio will not be able to compete at EFC 60 was confirmed this morning.
The Angolan had been anxiously awaiting visa confirmation for the last week, but has now been informed that he will not be able to travel to South Africa.
His bout with Durban’s Radley De Vries has thus been cancelled.
“This is a reality that us and other large MMA promotions often have to face,” said EFC president Cairo Howarth. “Inviting athletes to compete from all across the globe has a lot of logistical factors to overcome, visas being one of them. We hope to see Octavio in the Hexagon again soon.”
EFC 60: Lino vs Trosee 2, presented by BetXchange.com takes place on Saturday 10 June 2017 at Sibaya, Durban.
