Johannesburg, South Africa – EFC Gym Sandton hosted the official EFC 62 Media Day and press conference this past weekend. It culminated in Yannick Bahati slapping Dricus du Plessis during their face-off. The event officials, MMA SA PRO, has since informed both athletes and EFC that Bahati and Du Plessis will receive fines for their language used in a public space, and for the physical altercation.
EFC supports the decision of the event officials. Athletes are not allowed to make physical contact with each other outside of competition.
