ALL EYES ON EFC RETURN

Heated weigh-ins predicting a Saturday of finishes

Johannesburg, South Africa –  EFC is set to make an explosive return to action this Saturday for the first time in over a year since the Covid-19 pandemic. The official EFC 85 weigh-in took place in the EFC Performance Institute in Paulshof, Johannesburg behind closed doors without any fans in attendance. Heading Saturday’s event sees 135 pound champion, Faeez Jacobs, put his title on the line against No.1 contender, Sylvester Chipfumbu. Plus, the highly anticipated return of former champion, Boyd Allen, as he faces powerful veteran, Bruno Mukulu.

Jacobs, in his typical dramatic flair, had painted “Dana White watch my fight” across his chest. “I came here for a fight and that is what I am going to do. I will finish Sylvester,” bellowed the champ on the mic.

“Where I come from, a man doesn’t get a second chance. I am going to show you why I am the new champion, no doubt!,” responded Chipfumbu. He added, “Don’t call him a champion, he is an interim champion. I will be the undisputed champion!”

“It is good to be back,” stated former champ, Boyd Allen, after stepping off the scale.

Filling out the rest of the anticipated card sees several more former champions, rising stars and roster mainstays.

Nkazimulo Zulu, Bruno Mukulu and Claude Ntumba failed to make weight in the allotted time and will suffer financial penalties.
