KING SHAKA ASCENDS HIS THRONE AT EFC 105! OFFICIAL EFC 105 RESULTS

As expositions of combat sports go, EFC 105 was truly unique by delivering non-stop action with only one fight, the very first bout of the undercard, going to a judge’s decision with 10 finishes thereafter thrilling the sold-out crowd in Johannesburg. The main event was an action-packed war that went back-and-forth between Nkazimulo ‘King Shaka’ Zulu and Musa ’Bad News’ Sethwape with the latter surviving a plethora of submission attempts from the former champion. As the rounds wore on, Sethwape stunned the arena with a display of pure guts and determination before Zulu was finally able to take the tap in the fourth round to be crowned the new 135lb titleholder.

Controversy dogged the penultimate main card bout which was ruled a no-contest after Mark Kamba complained of a foul blow whilst grounded, which his opponent Peace Nguphane disputed, accusing Kamba of cheating and leaving the bad blood between the two unsettled and prompting the crowd to demand an immediate rematch.

After a competitive showing in the stand-up, Vincent Nakana was willing to stand and trade with his opponent Micky Cloete before the Potchefstroom flyweight took the fight to the ground and cranked the arm into the keylock position to take the submission win and continue his impressive winning streak. This followed another first round finish after Jeremy Tshibala made quick work of beloved veteran Pietie Coxen by forcing the referee’s stoppage by vicious ground ’n pound. The main card kicked-off with Zambian MMA sensation Humphrey Mulenga coming out of the gate with devastating speed to put a dazed Nkosi Doyisa out of contention, ensuring that Demarte Pena’s protogée has yet to enter the second round in his entire professional career.
