REVENGE AND REWARD – VIOLENCE ERUPTS AT THE EFC SCALE!

A whole host of fighters had to be separated by Night Guard Security, as they faced-off for the first time in one of the most dramatic weigh-ins ever witnessed at the EFC Performance Institute. For what is being billed as the greatest fight card in recent promotional history, all athletes squared-up at the EFC Performance Institute and even though three out of the 24 combatants failed to hit the target, all 12 bouts have been greenlit by the governing body, scheduling a truly sensational evening of mixed-martial arts tomorrow night in the City of Gold.

The first title fight of the evening features CIT’s welterweight Champion, Mark Hulme, defending against Potchefstroom’s Peace ‘X’ Nguphane, and the foes wasted no time getting into each other’s faces, but it was the champ who erupted first and flung his challenger across the length of the stage prompting a flock of security to descend on the stage. The second title fight see’s the featherweight champion, Igeu Kabesa, claiming to be ‘the people’s champ’ and fired-up in taking on once more, the only man to have beaten him in 6 years, Brazil’s Reinaldo Ekson who equally predicted another victory over one of Africa’s greatest and stated he was ‘the nightmare’ for the incumbent,

Two former champions now competing for bantamweight contendership, Sylvester Chipfumbu and Sindile Manengela had to be separated as their war of words showed no ending and two other former veteran contenders, Tapiwa Katikati and Steven Goncalves also forced the intervention of security, as Katikati exploded at his opponent and proceeded to feud with the Night Guard member who was restraining him.

All athletes at the scale were cognisant of the historic event being the biggest night of combat sports action in 2023 and they duly contributed to an electric atmosphere that has fight fans waiting in frenzied anticipation for tomorrow night. On the evidence of today’s proceedings, EFC 110 is going to be a truly special one.
