I wake up at 5:30 eat breakfast then head for a 10 km run. From there it’s to the Gym for a session with my personal trainer, and a yoga class. I also take time to prep all my meals as that’s a huge part of getting fit and on weight for my fight. Off to work until the late afternoon, then its MMA training and Jits in the evening. I add in classes if I feel I need to work on something more.
When & why did you start martial arts training?
I started MMA initially to lose weight and challenge myself. After a few classes I was hooked and from there have never looked back.
What ranks & titles have you held?
Amateur womens featherweight world champion & AFL featherweight champion
How did you get your fight name?
Coming from Ballito Bulldogs which we call the dog pound we all had dog names. And I guess that one just stuck, maybe it’s because I’m a little mad 😉
I’d have to say stand up is my favourite; I enjoy a good bloody slug fest!! (It’s a Bulldog thing).
Who are your heroes?
I don’t have a hero but if I had to say one it would definitely be my dad. He was an amazing father and he always supported me in anything I did throughout my childhood.
