Fighters Biography
Background discipline?
Jiu-jitsu & Boxing
When did you start training martial arts?
Since the age of 8 competed in Judo – National & International Level.
How did you transition to MMA?
I respect all disciplines, and appreciate all disciplines but I wanted to be able to compete against any person on any platform with any rules.
What achievements, ranks and titles have you held?
SA Judo (Junior) (6Years). Amateur BJJ SA champion (2014). SA Amateur MMA Champion 2015 (LHW &MW)
How did you get your fight name?
Rugby days and Varsity days.
What is your favourite technique, and why?
Elbows on the ground – As I was not allowed to until I turned pro.
Who is your hero, and why?
Father, Brothers and Hunter Kennedy. All o them seem to understand what is important in life and follows their passion to the extent that others want to follow their example.
What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?
Obsessed with music and I play a couple instruments myself .I appreciate philosophy and poetry and love competing in most sport.
What does it mean for you to fight in the EFC?
My limited vocabulary limits me in explaining how much it means being part of such an amazing organization. It is not just about the lights and the people craving to experience us “ athletes” enjoying our passion, but a culmination of life lessons learned and experienced on an inter-personal level, of which lessons and memories could never be made available without a platform such as the EFC ! “After many years during which I saw many things, what I know most surely about morality and the duty of man are due to sport” Albert Camus.
