When & why did you start martial arts training?
I started Martial Arts at the age of 10 after watching ‘The Karate Kid’.
How and why did you transition to MMA?
I became bored with Karate and MMA looked like a very challenging sport and that was therefore m next challenge in combat sport.
What ranks & titles have you held?
In Karate I have been selected on two occasions to represent South Africa in international tournaments. In amateur MMA I was the MFL Featherweight Champion.
I do not have a specific technique I favour. Basically anything that will give me the win.
Who is your hero, and why?
I do not have a specific hero, but look up to various people from different walks of life.
What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?
I enjoy online gaming, having a braai with friends and spending time with my fiancé and little boy.
What does it mean for you to fight in EFC?
It is a goal I set myself when taking up MMA. At the time there was no EFC, but I always wanted to compete at the top platform that was available. When EFC started I knew it was my calling to fight for EFC.
