Fighters Biography
Fight preparation?
Twice a day. Mornings are for wrestling and Jits, evenings are stand-up and fitness. We do a lot of fitness training about a month before a fight so that we can break through our fitness barriers and then maintain that level for competition.
When and why did you start MMA?
I started MMA about two years back. K1 was dying off and I was struggling to get fights so I crossed over to a new style.
What do you enjoy about MMA?
You can do everything! I really wrestling and clinch work, but the greatest thing about MMA is that anyone can win from any position at any time.
What do you consider your strengths to be?
Striking, although I have come to really enjoy wrestling.
What do you do when not competing or training?
I’m a chiropractor. No time for anything else besides work and MMA.
MMA highlights:
Early on in my career I beat the well-respected Wiehahn Lesch, and I also won the Last Man Standing 8 man MMA contest in May 2011.
