Exhibition Fight History
Fight prep doesn’t exist in my world. Fight or no fight I always train eight hours a day. I’m young and talented so I want to soak up everything that I can to become a well-rounded, exciting and respectable athlete.
WHEN & WHY DID YOU START FIGHTING?
I started at the tender age of 15, in the last quarter of 2009. I randomly walked past the Panther Fighting Arts and Fitness Academy and was curious about the sport so I decided to try it out. The rest, as they say is history.
I don’t have a favourite technique per say. I’ll capitalise on whatever opportunities present themselves in a fight – but I do love to stand and trade.
WHAT RANKS AND TITLES HAVE YOU HELD?
I won the Pro-Amateur CFL welterweight title and I won a few grappling tournaments like GASS in Cape Town. I won WP K-1 and came 3rd at the SA Championships. In 2010 I also came first in the SA MMA Championships in Pretoria.
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR FIGHT NAME?
One of my best friends always calls me ‘Frostie’ for some reason and at one of my fights she got the whole crowd to cheer ‘Frostie’. It has stuck with me ever since.
WHO AREYOUR HEROES
My heroes? I have quite a few… My family of course, Rob Turner, Adrien Broner Devon Currer, my head coach Anthony Kettle, Brendon Groenewald, Hentie van Wyk, Chael Sonnen, Gary King, Josesito Lopez, Austin Trout, Nick Diaz, Floyd Mayweather, Wynberg Boys Highschool brothers and Old Boys. I could go on and on. I look up to a number of people who are my role models and motivate me in different ways.
- Spectacular amateur record
- Fought top athletes in the division, Igeu Kabesa, Michaels and Madge
