Fighters Biography
When and why did you start martial arts training?
I’m training twice a day most days. A combination of boxing, kickboxing, no gi grappling and cardio.
When and why did you start martial arts training?
I started kickboxing in 2006 just to get fit really. I was more into lifting weights but as time grew I really enjoyed it so started competing and never looked back. I had my first pro MMA fight in 2009. I jumped in a bit soon but I’ve learnt since then.
How did you transition to MMA?
I started sparring with a few MMA guys and really enjoyed it, began training in the classes and slowly just made the move.
What ranks and titles have you held?
Currently I’m 6th in the UK as well as the Cage Contender, Fight UK and Octagon Challenge LHW champion.
Tell us about your most memorable fight.
I really enjoyed fighting in Slovakia and it was a battle of a fight. Massive crowd all shouting for the local boy. He was dominating the first round with an armbar and rear naked choke which I escaped and then we got into a full-on hands festival. I folded him like an old deck chair, left hook, straight right, KO!
What is your favourite technique?
A flying Go-Go Plata! Jokes. I don’t have a specific one, to be honest.
What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?
I trained at a few camps in Las Vegas at Xtreme Couture with top level guys and also at Robert Drysdales which again pushed me to the end. I was in the final 32 of TUF 17 (middleweight), fought on the first episode but unfortunately lost on points (disgusting weight cut!). Check www.fraseropie.com to know more.
