The Major To Break The G.O.A.T
Mukulu takes a step up at EFC AFRICA 26
28 November 2013
Johannesburg (South Africa) - Cape Town’s Bruno ‘The Major’ Mukulu makes his third appearance in the EFC AFRICA Hexagon when he faces the veteran, Wade ‘G.O.A.T’ Henderson, in what promises to be a crunching middleweight battle.
Mukulu made his debut at EFC AFRICA 23 against the massively rated Dricus du Plessis. He succumbed to the debutant’s curse, getting submitted in the first round.
At his second appearance he faced veteran Juan Lubbe. Here he put on an entirely different performance, savagely dominating Lubbe for two and a half rounds before finally forcing his opponent out of the contest with a blizzard of ground and pound.
In Henderson he’s faced with a different test, however. Phenomenally experienced with 25 professional bouts behind him Henderson has faced them all, and put on some unforgettable wars.
At EFC AFRICA 17 he and top middleweight contender JP Kruger produced a sprawling fight that took both to their absolute limit, Kruger unable to put Henderson away. At EFC AFRICA 19 Henderson did it again. Fighting in close quarters with the DRC’s iron man, Francois Kabulu, Henderson fought a trench war which he narrowly lost out to by decision.
On December 12 Mukulu’s task will be to break through the solid wall of Henderson’s experience. In order to live up to his potential he will be not only looking for a victory, but a big finish against one of the organisation’s toughest.
