All Eyes On Nienaber

Confident to beat Allen

Johannesburg (South Africa) – After defeating Brendon KatzBarend Nienaber, who is now set to face Boyd Allen for the vacant featherweight belt, had some words to say about his upcoming fight with Allen, and about his recent opponent Katz.

“Brendon, if I could, I would have worn jeans to the cage, worn my Tekkies, because that just was not a fight to me, you didn’t bring anything to the cage. I took you to the ground, you said I should stand up with you, I stood with you, I traded with you, you were just blocking, you didn’t have any words for me. I had a game plan, the game plan was gold. Yes I did what I had to do to win.”

In response to a question about Boyd Allen, Nienaber simply said, “Allen is a different fighter, and I need to plan a different game with him, I am sure to have a game plan for Allen, which i’ll prove on the night. Next time you see me, this strap will be around my waist.”
