“Nothing And No One Will Stand In My Way”

‘Rage’ ready for Mukulu, EFC AFRICA 30

Johannesburg (South Africa) – Johannesburg up-and-comer Gordon ‘Rage’ Roodman enters the Hexagon for the second time, when he travels down to the Mother City to face local powerhouse, Bruno Mukulu.

“I’m extremely excited about being not only fit to fight again but also having been afforded the opportunity. I got the call saying ‘Bruno in Cape Town’ and immediately said ‘I’m fit, injury free and ready, let’s do it”, said Roodman.

Fresh from a blazing performance at EFC AFRICA 29, where he dispatched Capetonian Pupanga Tresor by armbar in the first round, ‘Rage’ is intent on continuing his dominance on June 05.

“I am expecting a very dangerous Bruno to bring me a hard fight in Cape Town,” said Roodman. “He comes of a loss, which always drives a fighter to train triple hard for the next one, and he has a hometown crowd to back him up.”

“His raw power doesn’t scare me one bit,” he added. “I’ve surrounded myself with a lot of big, strong lads whose skills and power far surpass his own. I’ve made sure I’m happy to hang with him, if he chooses to play the power card on the night.”

“If he climbs into my guard I will submit him. If he chooses to stand and trade with me I will put him to sleep. If he allows me to get top control, he’s going to get out wrestled, cut up, battered and bruised. I’m so damn pumped up for this one I can’t even explain.”

For Roodman his place on the EFC AFRICA roster is the culmination of years of hard work, a dream and a chance he is intensely aware of.

“Last time out the bright lights just made me aware of how long the road has been and how many sacrifices me and especially my family have made over the years in order for me to become the best version of ‘Rage’ I can. Nothing and no one will stand in my way now, as I continue to journey to the top.”

“Let’s get it on, man,” concluded Roodman, speaking directly to Mukulu. “It’s time to make some more waves and ride them straight back to Johannesburg.”
