NEVER LEAVE OUR FALLEN BEHIND

Kanyeba steps in for team-mate as replacements to face Bester

Johannesburg, South Africa– Fresh off a dominant win in the EFC Hexagon at the monumental EFC 40, Anicet Kanyeba has stepped up as a late replacement for his training partner from team BIA (Brothers in Arms), Conrad Seabi, to face Tyron Bester at next weekend’s EFC 41. It was announced on Saturday morning that Seabi is withdrawing due to torn ligaments in his ankle.

Kanyeba is highly experienced inside the EFC Hexagon, having faced some of the biggest names in the division, among the likes of champion Boyd Allen. Eager to build on his winning momentum, Kanyeba jumped at the opportunity to get back in the Hexagon quickly and fight in Seabi’s stead.

Kanyeba stated upon signing, “We never leave our fallen behind and BIA is never out of the fight, because brothers fight for each other and not for the win.” He concluded with, “Winning comes from fighting for the person next to you, not fighting the person in front of you”.

This prelim bout features on the massive double title fight card of EFC 41 and can be watched live at Carnival City or exclusively at selected Ster-Kinekor Theatres around South Africa.
