Cape Town, South Africa – Cape Town athlete Gary Joshua is set to make his EFC debut next Friday in the opening fight of the night. He faces a tough task in the experienced Lourens Botes from Lowveld. Kwesé Sports recently caught up with the young prospect.

“So he’s like a gatekeeper in my opinion. He’s not someone I’m going to look past and underestimate in any aspect. At the end of the day it’s a fight, I can get caught, he can get caught. But I’m coming in for war. I respect him in every aspect as a person but when the cage door closes it’s war, one of us is going down.”
This fight takes place on the prelim card ahead of the biggest fight in EFC history where Demarte Pena will take-on Irshaad Sayed to unify the bantamweight title.=
