Fan favourite Shaun de Lange to face former champion Dino Bagattin in Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa – EFC matchmaker Graeme Cartmell dropped a bomb of an announcement via his personal video blog for EFC Cape Town on 8 April. Cape Town fan favourite Shaun de Lange will make his long-awaited return to action against the former welterweight champion Dino ‘The Lion’ Bagattin.

De Lange last fought two years ago against Mark Hulme in a fight of the night, that left him injured and out of action. Now back and ready for action, ready to show the world what he is truly capable of and fired up like never seen before.

De Lange sent a message to Bagattin via Cartmell, you can watch it in the video above.: “You better not pull out with a tooth ache this time.”

De Lange was originally scheduled to face Bagattin at EFC 52 last year, however Bagattin withdrew before the bout with an abscess in his mouth.

A former welterweight champion, Bagattin is a legend in South African Mixed Martial Arts. Renowned for his decimating and accurate volume striking, Bagattin always brings a war of a fight with a never say die attitude.

When asked why this will be a good fight, Bagattin responded, “We gonna beat the snot out of each other and that is what the fans want to see.”

This fight takes place live at GrandWest ahead of the main event lightweight championship between USA’s Dave Mazany and South Africa’s Don Madge.
